Can't stop the A-Train!
~ A-Train's catchphrase.
Hmh. What is it about the Seven attracts these... frigid f**kin' prick-teasers, man? F**kin Starlight.
~ A-Train to Jack from Jupiter.

A-Train is a major antagonist of the controversial comic book series The Boys.

He is a member of The Seven who serves as the group's speedster following the death of his predecessor, Mr. Marathon.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He never takes things seriously making a joke and facial expression about Starlight having oral sex with the seven, which then leads to Homelander promptly disciplining him, this moment is for us to see Homelander as cool while A-train as a pathetic coward.
  • He acts tough and strong, bullying Starlight and threatening her on multiple occasions but when someone actually insults him back and doesn’t show fear to him, he gets surprised and doesn’t talk to them like that for a while, this is shown when homelander disciplined him he doesn’t act tough at all he’s just scared and turned into a pathetic wreck. And when Hughie was about to kill him, A-train was literally begging for mercy.
  • He kills Hughie’s girlfriend Robin while fighting a criminal although this was accidental, A-train showed no remorse and he didn’t even take the time to see if Robin or Hughie were ok, meaning that he didn’t care at all. He also mocked her death alongside other Seven members.
  • He, alongiside Black Noir and Homelander raped Starlight, proceeds to mock her afterwards.
  • When he tried to rape Starlight again and failed because she blinded him with her powers, he throws a fit like a toddler and asks Homelander to punish her, only for Homelander to ignore him because he’s in a bad mood.
  • While he seems to have a friendship with Jack from Jupiter, he quickly subverts this redeeming quality by cutting ties with him and giving him up to the Seven, when his reputation is ruined.
  • He isn’t truly loyal to The Seven as when Homelander went insane and tried to take over the US government, instead of helping him, he just left and went on vacation.
  • His death was played for satisfaction as he died brutally by the man whose girlfriend died brutally to A-train giving him perfect karma while cowardly begging for undeserved mercy, crying like a baby and refusing to show any remorse whatsoever, just saying he doesn't want to die.

What Makes Him A Pinhead?[]

  • He recklessly kills Robin on accident while going after a criminal, showing his lack of discipline.
  • He’s very empty headed as he knows the rules of taking things seriously while in the Seven meetings, but he still chooses to act like a clown by doing a dick-sucking gesture to mock Starlight, and when Homelander disciplines him for acting this way, he’s all of a sudden surprised this is even happening.
  • In his attempted rape of Starlight, he ignorantly believes that he will get away with it again and somehow forgot she's a superhero with powers to blind him.
  • He’s so ignorant that he genuinely believes nothing will happen to him if he doesn't help Homelander in his coup attempt. If Homelander failed, A-Train does not acknowledge that Homelander might seek revenge for his lack of support. Instead, he just assumes Homelander will just forget about him, which shows how short-sighted he is.

Trivia[]

  • He, along with Todd, The Deep, Rufus, and Blue Hawk all from the TV series are the only characters from The Boys to be Pathetic Pinheads.
  • His TV counterpart does not qualify as Pathetic Pinhead due to having many redeeming qualities and sympathetic moments, to the point of even redeeming himself at the end of Season 4.
