Aquamarine is a major antagonist in the Steven Universe franchise serving as the main antagonist of season 4, a minor antagonist in season 5, and a major antagonist in Steven Universe: Future.
She's a Homeworld gem who after getting her plans foiled by Steven seeks revenge on him alongside Eyeball Ruby.
She was voiced by Della Saba.
What Makes Her Pathetic?[]
- She's the only gem and only character that is taken completely seriously without being tragic as she's egotistical, selfish and hateful.
- She kidnapped Steven's friends.
- She attempted to have Topaz kill the humans by starting with crushing Jamie's skull if Steven and his friends didn't back down.
- She isn't truly loyal to Homeworld as she goes against their wishes a few times such as when she almost broke the rules of her mission and when she tries to kill Steven in Future and the fact that she hates the ideas of peace in Homeworld.
- She taunted Topaz that the Diamonds would separate her and shatter her which was incredibly sadistic.
- She teamed up with Eyeball Ruby to become Bluebird to kill Steven.
- She held Greg hostage alongside Eyeball Ruby.
- She alongside Eyeball Ruby are the reason why Greg had to cut his beloved hair.
- When it seems like she changed for the better unfortunately it turns out she's still an utterly pathetic jerk as she claims alongside Eyeball Ruby they'll be hating Steven forever as they fly off.
What Makes Her a Pinhead?[]
- While she claims to have a perfect memory and had some charisma in her debut she subverts this and the only sympathy she gets is from Steven which is a given but nobody else in the show treats her with sympathy and is meant to be hateble to the audience.
- She cowardly talks her way out of being killed by Topaz and while this succeeded it's only because Topaz cares about her two selves otherwise Aquamarine would've been doomed.
- She's only really a threat because of her wand as shown when she gets easily defeated by Steven when she wasn't Bluebird.
- She used a paper thin disguise alongside Eyeball Ruby as Bluebird and expected Steven to be fooled, which obviously didn't work.
- She attempted to have Greg held hostage, which fails when he escaped thanks to Eyeball Ruby's knife.
- She tries to take on Steven even when she's by herself.
- She alongside Eyeball Ruby attempted to kill Steven right in front of Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst which resulted in her defeat after she unsuccessfully tried to deceive them again which resulted in her plan failing.
- She willingly chose to hate Steven forever instead of gaining a friendship with Eyeball Ruby.
