Arthur Walsh is a minor antagonist of the 2017-2019 Marvel Cinematic Universe tv series Marvel's The Punisher. He was a pedophilic caretaker at Ray of Hope group home where Billy Russo lived during his childhood.
He was portrayed by Thomas G. Waites.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- He sexually abused several young boys at the group home where he used to work, some of whom were apparently "happy to love him back", implying that act gave them Stockholm Syndrome.
- When the child Billy Russo refused to consent to his "love" and instead fought back with a stickball bat, Arthur furiously broke his arm and ripped his rotator cuff in three places, thus forcing him to give up on sports entirely.
- Even after losing his pension and spent a decade in prison, he shows zero remorse and takes no responsbility for anything he did, blaming his victims for the downfall of his life.
- He's a racist, as he asked if a "hajji" jacked up Jigsaw's face.
- Absolutely no one mourned his well-deserved death at the hands of Jigsaw. Even Frank states he's not going to lose sleep over some dead child molester.
- He's absolutely unlikable and disgusting as he only exists to make Jigsaw more sympathetic.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- It's shown that he lives a relatively quiet life after serving his sentence, until the amnesiac Jigsaw finds his way to Arthur's apartment. While drinking coffee with wine, Arthur goes on a rant about how he "loves" the children from the group home he used to work at, also gaslights Jigsaw as an adult, projecting his folly onto him and mocking him for being physically scarred and having problematic parents.
- Even after knowing he's a Marine, Arthur continued to mock his looks due to his facial scars, and called him not so fussy and pretty anymore, which causes Jigsaw to snap and kill him. In a shorter summary, Arthur's arrogance caused the death of himself, even though he could've lived a little longer.
