Blaire Lily is the villain protagonist of the 2015 supernatural horror film Unfriended. Throughout the film, she plays the typical "final girl" role, but as Laura picks off all of her friends one by one, the truth gets revealed.
She was portrayed by Shelley Hennig.
What Makes Her Pathetic?[]
- She drove Laura Barns, her own best friend, to suicide by partaking in cyberbullying her, as well as filming and posting an embarrassing video of her soiling herself while unconscious, and all with a smile on her face.
- She hypocritically scolds Ken for calling Laura a bully, despite her own role in Laura's death.
- She had sex with Adam behind her boyfriend (and Adam's best friend) Mitch's back twice, making the latter believe that they'll lose their virginity to each other on prom night. When she finally gets exposed as a cheater to Mitch and Jess, she feebly tries to lie her way out of any consequences by claiming that it was an accident and that it only lasted for just a second while shallowly apologizing.
- When Blaire and Adam both receive notes that would result in one's forced suicide if the other reveals it, she directly gets him killed by showing her note despite his personal refusal to sell her out. Though to be fair, Adam date-raped Ashley Dane and made her get an abortion, so he wasn't exactly innocent.
- She gets Mitch killed too by telling Laura that he posted the video of her last year, although it's heavily implied that Blaire posted the video and just lied in an attempt to save her own skin, considering:
- Mitch confessed his actions without any hesitation whatsoever during the "Never Have I Ever" game, indicating that he's honest at all times. Blaire, however, has lied throughout the entire movie.
- Blaire was about to say that Mitch didn't do anything, but then changed her mind.
- In general, why would someone film a video and then make someone else post it?
- She's given multiple chances to make Laura's ghost leave everyone alone by just confessing her sins. She never does, thus resulting in both her and her friends dying horribly.
What Makes Her a Pinhead?[]
- She has no idea what a "troll" is.
- Overall, she doesn't seem to really know how to use a computer. She never turns off her screenshare when having private conversations with Mitch and doesn't trash her Trojan viruses or close BitTorrent when Laura puts her on a timer and yet she still miraculously makes it through.
- She once crashed Jess' mother's car while drunk.
- She puts one of her own fingers down during "Never Have I Ever", despite Laura not asking her anything.
- Her method of ensuring Mitch doesn't leave the Skype call (which would result in his own death) is to reveal the note that says Adam will die if she does so, rather than simply lying about what it says.
- She uses Chatroulette in an attempt to save Jess, rather than contacting one of her other friends on Facebook. It's honestly quite surprising when she comes across someone who takes her call for help seriously.
