Chaos Sonic

Chaos Sonic is a supporting antagonist in the 2022 Netflix series, Sonic Prime.

He is a robotic copy of Sonic the Hedgehog built by the Chaos Council to defeat him. He can be considered the most nasty version of Metal Sonic since he doesn't have the same intelligence and evil is cool that the original Metal Sonic has.

Like the original Sonic, he was voiced by Jun'ichi Kanemaru in Japanese and Deven Mack in English.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He's a detestable blowhard who loves to brag about how much better he is than Sonic and the others.
  • He helps the Chaos Council and tries to kill Sonic so they can further their plans.
  • He tells Sonic to his face that after killing him, he'll kill his resistance friends with a gleeful expression.
  • Despite being a robot, he possesses moral agency and understands the difference between right and wrong.
  • He's the most unsympathetic incarnation of Metal Sonic, lacking the same Evil is Cool or intelligence that the others possess.
  • Even though he only appears in one episode, he stands out for lacking the sympathetic qualities that other antagonists possess.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • Despite having the upper hand against Sonic in fights, he prefers to talk and brag rather than try to finish him off, which gives Sonic a chance to temporarily defeat him, and in the end, Sonic defeats him definitively.
  • He's an inattentive idiot who doesn't pay attention to his surroundings, an example of which is when he chases Sonic and doesn't even notice the truck approaching him.
  • He doesn't learn from his mistake and blindly chases Sonic without realizing it was a trap, which leads to his destruction when he doesn't notice the energy beam heading his way.

Trivia[]

  • He, along with Scourge the Hedgehog and Unnamed G.U.N. Soldier, are the three villains in the Sonic franchise to be Pathetic Pinheads at the moment.
  • Ironically, another robotic version of Sonic and the most iconic one in the series, Metal Sonic, has been approved as MB on TV Tropes.
