Chase, having the label as The Other YouTuber Sensation, is a supporting antagonist in Total Drama franchise. He is a contestant in its Reboot season Total Drama Island (2023) and later returns in Total Drama Island (2024). He was a member of the Ferocious Trout in the first Reboot season and placed 6th in the competition. In the second season of the Reboot, Chase was a member of Team Skunk Butt, but he ends up being the second person voted out and placed 15th.
He is a live streamer who does dare challenges on his channel with his friends where they prank each other and to do wicked stunts and live in a beach house. Before the show started, he was dating his ex-girlfriend Emma but after the events of him cutting the brakes on her car and made Emma crash into a pet store, they ended up breaking up.
He was voiced by Julius Cho.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Chase is a selfish narcissist who is shown to be a toxic boyfriend to his ex girlfriend Emma. That being said, even after broken up, he still constantly flirts with Emma and calls her babe. He shows no remorse from his actions and refuses to apologize of what he's done. Before the show even began, it shows how bad of a boyfriend he was to Emma since they dated before the events on the show.
- The most known example that was mentioned in the a couple of times in the series, he endangered Emma's life by cutting the brakes on her car which caused her crash into a pet store, and nearly killing her. He sees nothing wrong about this action and refuses to apologize what he did.
- More of his "selfless actions," he once peed on the ground after a movie and used Emma's jacket so she could walk over it.
- He once donated a kidney to Emma's uncle, but it was a goat from the butcher.
- He once painted Emma's room her favorite color Tuscan Sun Yellow, but he didn't move the furniture and used it with pressure water. The worst part is that Emma was sleeping when he painted her room, and made a comment how she looked like a trophy.
- He tried to save Emma's cat from a tree, but he ended up cutting down the tree which landed on Emma's mother. This implies that Emma's mother got brain damage because her mother now refers to her as "Jeff."
- On their anniversary, he claimed that he got a star and named it after Emma, but Emma says that he named it "Chase's girlfriend." He even planned to legally change her name to "Chase's girlfriend."
- In "Jurassic Fart," he is shown to be a coward at certain occasions as he was too afraid of the raptor that he abandoned Zee and ran off, later saying a confessional that its not that cares about other people but only cares about himself the most.
- While he did feel remorse for leaving Zee behind with that raptor, when he was crying, he claims that he never put anyone in danger before. But however, he put Emma’s life in danger by cutting the brakes on her car just for a prank, which only makes him hypocritical.
- He only wanted Bowie to win over Priya only because he was a guy, making him misogynistic.
- Because of all the events he talked about with his "selfless" acts in "The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth," the main villains (Bowie and Julia) and even Chris and Chef were absolutely disgusted by his actions because of all the harm he caused Emma in the past before the events in the show, Chef even claiming how someone has raised him all wrong.
- As it revealed in season 2, he and Emma broke up again since Emma found out that he bailed on the challenge for pizza and actually not her. He was considering to tell her the truth, but completely refuses too, showing that he's still the same guy who never changed.
- While he does have many comedic moments, it mostly makes him come across as pathetic, such as believing Julia's lies that his girlfriend would like him again because of Julia's tricks and another scene where he tries to use his "Chase Charm" to make Emma like him again, by asking her a question if they would like to get back together when Emma would say no.
What Makes Him A Pinhead?[]
- He is shown to be very dimwitted, oblivious and doesn't really know any better from his acts since he wasn't intentionally trying to hurt Emma. He doesn't understand why his actions made Emma break up with him even though he put her life on the cost. While some of his "selfless" acts were actually good acts, most of these came into a complete fail due to his stupidity, making him very incompetent.
- Adding on to that, he is very delusional, as such when Emma asked him to join her and Bowie's alliance, in the confessional, he believes what Emma's trying to say that she can't live without him.
- Another moment of him being delusional is when Emma and Chase planning to keep their canoes together and Emma saying that it's a good idea, Chase rearranges her words, saying that "getting back together would be a good idea" and claimed that she called him "fine."
- In "The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth," he doesn't even know what the word selfless means.
- He is shown to lack common sense, reckless activity, and doesn't have the regard for the feelings and safety of other people when doing his actions.
- When he smelled the pizza, his mind went blank and started to jump to the pizza, throwing the game for himself. However, Emma did think that Chase sacrificed the challenge for her and gets back together with him. He didn't even understand how Emma decided to get back with him in the first place.
- In the second season, Emma easily tricks Chase into filming a waterslide stunt and doesn't focus on the challenge. This caused him to be the second eliminated since he failed to participate.
