Cole Wittman is a minor antagonist in the 2023 superhero video game Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the third installment of the Marvel's Spider-Man series.
What Makes Her Pathetic?[]
- After being hired as The Mysterium’s technical advisor by Quentin and Betsy, Cole almost immediately conspired with Betsy to trap and essentially scam wealthy people inside The Mysterium, while using Quentin as their fall guy. This is done purely out of greed, making this even worse.
- Despite being hired by Quentin, Cole is regularly rude and insulting towards him, such as blatantly coming up with the name “Mysterium” for their machine despite knowing anything related to the name “Mysterio” would annoy Quentin as well as rudely saying “People are gonna call you Mysterio weather you like it or not” (in comparison to Betsy who said the same thing, but was far more manipulative and even somewhat empathetic about it), called Quentin “creepy and weird” despite his genuine attempts to change his ways (even Betsy while somewhat amused, told Cole to knock it off), caused herself to get injured on purpose (chipping her own tooth with an illusion) then trying to blame it on Quentin (which obviously doesn’t work and goes in the complete opposite of their favour when he immediately realised Cole is up to something) and after Betsy claims they both need Quentin alive, Cole ties him up and puts him in their technology room. Overall, she has no respect for anyone, even when ordered about by Betsy, she only ever does so for pragmatic reasons and when Betsy’s plan starts to fall apart, when she orders Cole to fix the problem, she replies back in a rude tone.
- Overall, aside from being told what to do by Betsy and being an arse towards Quentin, Cole does very little of value to Betsy’s plan, other than attempting to piggyback off of Quentin’s ideas, frame him for their friend and delusionally think she and Betsy will become rich.
- While it is somewhat implied, that Quentin isn’t the easiest person to work with, it doesn’t excuse any of Cole’s actions because she and Betsy were hurting innocent people out of sheer greed and her actions are motivated more by a desire for wealth rather than revenge on Quentin. Plus it’s heavily implied and fairly likely that Cole already had purely greedy intentions before being verbally mistreated by Quentin, making her excuse even flimsier.
What Makes Her a Pinhead?[]
- She is very suspicious in nature and is not as good as Betsy is when it comes to trying to hide her true colours.
- She hid Mysterio in a closet rather than somewhere farther away, which led to Miles discovering him easily.
- She does not seem to be able to understand how to use Mysterio's code correctly, resulting in Miles being able to break free from their illusions.
- She didn't have a back-up plan for what to do in case she was discovered.
