Craster is a supporting antagonist in A Song of Ice and Fire and its television adaptation Game of Thrones. He is a wildling master of Craster's Keep, located beyond the Wall. Despite his unsavory reputation, he was regarded as an "ally" of the Night's Watch.

He was portrayed by Robert Pugh.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He constanly rapes and abuses his wives, and even his underage daughters, so that they can breed him more children to abuse and rape.
  • When they give birth to sons, he delivers them in the woods and sacrifices them to the White Walkers. In the TV show, the babies are transformed into White Walkers by the Night King.
  • When his wives and daughters get a disease, such as greyscale, he would tie them up in the woods and leave to them to die.
  • Cuts out the tongue of a wildling envoy sent by Mance Rayder.
  • In the TV show, when Jon finds out about Craster's unholy deal, the latter knocks him out and kicks Lord Commander Mormont and the other men of the Night's Watch out of his keep.
  • Purposely starves the men of the Night's Watch when they return to his Keep, possibly leading to the death of a man called Bannen because his foot was infected. He also mocks Samwell Tarly by making pig noises and suggests they should cannibalize him.
  • Attacks Dirk, Clubfoot Karl, and other black brothers in the books, or Rast and Karl Tanner in the show, when they call him out for starving them and provoke him by calling him a bastard. Even if both are no better it was Craster's fault to starve and provoke them.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • He spends most of his time raping his own daughters, whom he marries, and making them breed more daughters, showing he cares little about his actual life and focuses mostly on a lustful life.
  • He made a deal with the White Walkers by delivering them babies so they leave him alone. Because of that, he unknowingly adds more and more men in the Night King's army in the show, while it's still unknown what happens to them in the books.
  • He starves the men of the Night's Watch, whom most are dangerous criminals with quick tempers, leading to mutineers killing him and the Lord Commander and taking over his Keep to turn it into a rape camp. Even if mutineers such as Karl and Rast are as horrible it's Craster's fault if there was a mutiny.
