~ Dmitri to Henry during their final confrontation in "Toppat Recruits" |
Dmitri Johannes Petrov is a major antagonist within the popular indie game series Henry Stickmin.
He is a corrupt prison warden who runs the high security prison known as The Wall. Despite this seemingly noble position however, he proves himself to be a power hungry egotist who cares more about his own reputation than locking up those who go against the law, with him even abandoning the prison all together just to pursue two escaped convicts.
He is voiced by Marcus Bromander.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Despite being a prison warden, he is anything but moral, as he is shown to treat his inmates poorly, such as how he has those who are sick locked inside a box instead of getting them medical attention, and throws any inmates who die unexpectedly into the trash instead of burying them.
- While the Wall was supposed to be prison for extremely dangerous criminals, he is willing to have people thrown into The Wall for incredibly petty reasons, such as Mark Emu, who he had locked up simply because he failed a Try Not to Laugh challenge. It was also supposed to "have more inmates inside".
- Despite being a Henry Stickmin character, he lacks any comedic or charming qualities, with him instead being portrayed as an unlikable, egotistical tyrant with little to no redeeming qualities, and very few comedic moments with none of said moments portraying him in a likable fashion.
- Even if Henry is pardoned by the Government, Dmitri will still lock him up at The Wall despite having his criminal record wiped clean.
- He is shown to be arrogant and egotistical, with him clearly viewing himself as above everyone else, and getting angry at Henry for escaping The Wall due to it ruining his reputation, rather than because a dangerous criminal was on the loose.
- He is shown to be uncaring of the guards he highers, as seen by how he subtlety threatens them when Henry manages to escape.
- In Toppat Recruits, he hits Ellie over the head, causing her to be knocked out and, as seen later, wound up giving her a head injury.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- Despite claiming that The Wall hasn't had an incident in over fifty years, it only takes Henry a few minutes to escape, with some of the routes even having him brute forcing his way through the guards, showing that it isn't particularly difficult to get out, this is only reinforced by the fact that in Toppat Civil Warfare, Ellie reveals the fact that she was able to bust her way out of The Wall on her own despite being a seemingly new convict.
- The guards he is shown to hire are anything but bright, as seen with how Henry managed to cause two of them to get into a scuffle thanks to a Whoopie Cushion.
- When Henry and Ellie escape The Wall, he, along with various other guards, go after them, leaving The Wall without a warden despite the fact that a riot was currently transpiring.
- He let Ellie escape on her bike just so he can monologue to Henry about he was going to regret ever trying to escape, with this being the thing that allowed Ellie to come back and hit him over the head with a sign.
- He pushed Henry over a cliff in Presumed Dead and didn't even check to see if he was still alive, with this being the whole reason Henry was able to escape.
