Pathetic Pinhead Wiki

Furio Tigre is the antagonist of the third chapter of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations. He is a wrathful and greedy gangster who impersonates Phoenix Wright himself in order to throw Maggey Byrde under the bus for Glen Elg's murder.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He pretended to be Phoenix to convict poor Maggey of murdering Glen Elg, a crime he committed when Glen gave up on creating the virus he wanted to pay him back.
  • He manipulated Viola into thinking he loved her, when in fact he didn't. In reality, his "care" for her stemmed solely from his fear of her grandfather, who had far more resources than he did and left him with an even greater debt than Glen had owed him.
  • He manipulated a mafia boss's granddaughter into helping him frame an innocent woman. While Viola isn't exactly an angel, Furio's manipulative cruelty toward her is enough to make Phoenix feel compassion for her and anger toward Furio.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • It's clear he didn't even bother to act properly like Phoenix, as it's stated he said things Phoenix wouldn't say. He just fooled the others in the court purely by luck.
  • He falls for Phoenix's obvious bluff when he presents a bottle of medicine and claims it is the poison, Furio corrects him, saying that the poison was in a brown bottle something he shouldn't have known.
    • What makes this even worse is the fact that he actually calls Phoenix out on the bluff before hand, showing he was well aware that it was a bluff, yet he still fell for it.
  • In the anime, he attempts to defend his knowledge of the bottle the poison was in by admitted to impersonating Phoenix which only further cements him as the culprit.
  • He mistreats Viola, who is the daughter of the Cadaverinis, the mafia family he fears so much and to which he owes money, which could cause him problems.

Trivia[]

  • Furio Tigre is widely regarded as one of the stupidest antagonists in Ace Attorney with him falling for Phoenix's bluff being among the most infamous moments in the series.
  • Furio Tigre is one of two Ace Attorney pathetic pinheads who attempted to frame Maggey Byrde for murder, the other one being Richard Wellington
