The Gang Member, also known as Jang Deok-su's Henchman, is a minor antagonist in Season 1 of the South Korean Netflix series Squid Game. He is Jang Deok-su's subordinate in a South Korea gang and was killed by Deok-su after the man learned of his minion's betrayal.

He is portrayed by Lee Choong-goo.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He's cowardly enough to betray his own boss, even if Jang Deok-su himself is an unloyal person.
  • He laughs about how he's going to get his boss killed.
  • He plans to sell Deok-su's organs for cash.
  • He assisted in Jang Deok-su's crimes before hand.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • He proves to be incredibly stupid, as he arrogantly tells Deok-su that he plans to betray him and laughs about it, what makes this even more stupid is the fact he likely knew Deok-su for a long time so he should've known about his violent tendencies and didn't think about leaving the car before telling him he's been betrayed nor did he consider Deok-su having a weapon on him like any reasonable gangster should always assume thus his stupidity lead to his well deserved demise.
