Gregory Goyle is a supporting antagonist in the Harry Potter series. He is one of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's Slytherin students and one of Draco Malfoy's minions.
He was portrayed by Joshua Herdman.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- He constantly bullies Gryffindor students and particularly Muggle-borns.
- He follows Draco Malfoy. While he is loyal to him, he never questions his actions, such as calling Hermione a Muggle-born publicly (which is considered unethical) or planning to kill Dumbledore. He never tries to stop him.
- He tries to kill Harry in the final installment, which causes him to die (in films).
What Makes Him A Pinhead?[]
- He is extremely stupid. He hardly even passes the exams. The only time he is good at school is when they use Cruciatus, whose only requirement is desire to hurt rather than knowledge or expertise over magic.
- He uses Fiendfyre to kill Harry in films, which not only causes him to die because this spell gets out of contol, but also gives Harry and his friends a solution of how to destroy another Voldemort's Horcrux.
