Don't you hang up on me, dammit! Show some goddamn respect!
~ Jake not understanding fully the 50 Blessings phone call and complaining about it not responding directly to him.
Don't worry, I'll keep your secret safe! You can count on me brother! We're both patriots, right?
~ Jake proclaiming his loyality to 50 Blessings, revealing he knows their plans and sealing his fate.

Jake, also known as The Cobra, is a character in the top down shooter Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. He is of the masked operatives sent by the xenophobic organization 50 Blessings to do hits against the Russian Mob. Unlike Jacket, Biker or Richter however, Jake fully supports the terrorist group's objective of destroying Russian presence in America.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • On April 25th, 1989, Jake receives a phone call from 50 Blessings cryptically ordering him to massacre a news station filled with Russian gangsters. Jake seems to vaguely understand the nature of the calls, angrily demanding to meet with their boss and demanding "Some godddamn respect" This already establishes his arrogance and excitement at the idea of killing people only because they are Russian.
  • After he massacres the news station, Jake can steal the briefcase filled with money out of nothing but greed.
  • It's implied due to his loud xenophobia against Russians, the fact that he has a Confederate flag inside his house, and wanting a tattoo of "old Dixie" for commemorating his massacre at the news station, that Jake also hates African-Americans.
  • Calls the owner of a tattoo parlor a "Russian a-hole" only for being too busy.
  • When talking with a manager of 50 Blessings, Jake accidentally discovers the group's true goals and involvement with the phonecalls due to the manager's suspicious denial, loudly proclaiming how excited he is at being part of a terrorist organization.
  • While all (or most) of his victims are criminals, Jake is not a vigilante at all, since he does not even mention their crimes as a reason for the massacres.
    • In the digital comic, he attacks a woman only for being Russian, taking sadistic enjoyment in it. While the digital comics are non-canon, this is not out of character for Jake to do judging by his rude and violent personality.
  • While he has some funny lines, they only emphasize his flaws, such as his stupidity, xenophobia and unpleasant behavior.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • When being called again for another hit in June 6th of 1989, Jake still unnecessarily talks with the callers even after knowing how they work. resulting in them finishing their request to be discrete with annoyed voices before hanging out.
    • They calling him for a "parent teacher meeting" at the "Day Care Center" could be an indirect taunt by the callers for his dimwitted nature, considering that they do something similar to Richter about threatening his mother if he does not comply with their agenda, implying he did more hits besides those two and he still did not understand.
  • Loudly talks about how he knows 50 Blessings' goals near the Manager after accidentally discovering them. If the player clears the third floor of Withdrawal, he will kill Jake with a headshot to keep it a secret.
