| ~ Jason’s most famous quote as he kills Laura. |
Jason Carvey is a minor antagonist in the 2023 film Scream VI. He’s a fellow College student who like Tara, is studying Filmmaking at College, however, alongside his best friend and implied boyfriend; Greg Bruckner, Jason has a very morbid secret, despite being a seemingly normal student on campus.
He’s portrayed by Toni Revelvori.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Alongside his best friend and implied lover; Greg Bruckner, they spent their entire childhood’s unhealthily obsessing over death and fictional serial killers. Eventually, they discovered and grew obsessed with the Ghostface identity and all the atrocities that many people committed while wearing the mask. While they were kids at the time, they still should have known better than to blindly admire and obsess over serial killers.
- Following the deaths of Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman, Jason unhealthily obsessed over finishing Richie’s “film” by stalking the Carpenter sisters to New York and murdering them both to become infamous.
- After his Film Professor: Laura Crane gave him a C- on his Galileo film project, Jason immediately grew an unreasonable hatred for her, with him creating a fake account on a dating app where he’s seduce her using the identity of “Reggie”. After a while or talking and agreeing to meet up, Jason lures Laura into an alley where he stabs her to death while she screams in agony and coldly saying “Now I see something red” before slashing her one last time, while also coldly taking his mask off so the last thing Laura would see before succumbing to her injuries would be Jason’s smug face.
- After returning home and fresh off the kill, when “Greg” calls him, Jason acts disrespectful towards him until asked what it felt like to take another human being’s life, with him going on to describe Laura as like “meat” after he repeatedly stabbed her with his hunting knife and how she was “no longer human”. Then when asked asked by “Greg” if he had any guilt for Laura’s murder, he simply replied “Yeah, well, fuck her” in a cruel tone.
- After finding Greg’s body and being attacked (as well as stabbed repeatedly in the stomach) by Wayne Bailey, Jason pathetically and hypocritically begged for for his life and for Wayne to stop, despite Jason having shown absolutely no mercy to Laura himself when murdering her, mere hours before. Also, granted that his death of being stabbed in the back, stabbed 15 times in the stomach and then slashed across the chest was undeniably a very brutal and cruel way to die, Jason certainly deserved it for what he did to Laura and his overall sociopathic, remorseless and cruel nature.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- Him and Greg weren’t very discreet about their intentions, considering it’s confirmed that they used the internet to look up very questionable and (very likely) illegally criminal content, which is what got them on Kirby Reed’s radar. So even if Jason somehow covered up his involvement in Laura’s murder and successfully eliminated the Carpenter sisters, he would not have lasted very long at all before the authorities would be knocking on his door.
- After murdering Laura, he seriously thought it was a bright idea to not only unmask himself, but also fully change clothes in an alleyway he just murdered someone in (who was screaming to the top of her lungs) where cameras would have undoubtedly identified him very clearly when Laura’s body would have been found very shortly afterwards.
- While it was never uncovered while he was still alive, it was still pretty stupid of Jason and Greg to have a literal Ghostface/serial killer shrine in their dorm room, which anyone could have gone into and found. While not discovered while he was still alive, it was still risky to the point of being pretty idiotic (plus, that fact that Wayne got into their dorm room, is further evidence of the risks having a shrine covered in the DNA of someone he murdered was a far from smart move on Jason’s part).
