You're not serious. Look. I've entertained your sentimentality up until now. But I'm trying to actually fix things, Anya! I'm getting us through this! It's "Find the Code Scanner!" Then "Figure out the door code!" "Get the axe!" "Chop up the foam, but not too much!" And best of all, "Give Curly his f--king medicine!" But I'm bearing it. I have to. Because the captain has to take f--king responsibility on this goddamn ship! [...] Go make sure Daisuke doesn't choke on his own vomit. [...] I'll take care of it, Anya. I always do.
~ Jimmy reprimanding Anya for supposedly being unhelpful.

Jimmy is the main protagonist of the 2024 Swedish psychological horror game Mouthwashing.

He is the co-pilot of the Tulpar freighter, next in line to the captain, Curly. Shortly after the freighter's company, Pony Express, shut down, the spaceship would then crash into an asteroid, presumably caused by Curly with intention. However, it was eventually revealed that, over feelings of jealousy towards the captain, general inadequacy, personal circumstances, and his inability to "take responsibility," Jimmy had orchestrated the crash instead and blamed Curly.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He raped Anya and gave her the cold shoulder when she revealed her pregnancy to him, all events that played a role in her suicide.
  • He attempted to kill himself and everyone on the Tulpar freighter ship, but when the ship crashed and everyone survived, he blamed Curly, his former friend and the captain of the ship, who had been permanently maimed, paralyzed, and scarred in the crash, for what had happened.
  • Once he becomes the de-facto captain, he continues to be rude to Anya, and is abusive towards Curly when giving him his painkillers.
  • He convinced Daisuke to climb into a vent that resulted in the boy getting severely injured, needing to be put down by Swansea out of mercy.
  • He kills Swansea and is still unable to accept responsibility.
  • He forces Curly to cannibalize his own leg and tortures the captain before finally killing himself after putting Curly in the remaining cryogenic pod.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • Instead of at least using protection or interrupting the intercourse, he ends up impregnating Anya which started off all the story.
  • He is impulsive, makes rash decisions, and his plan to save everyone only makes everything worse.
  • He doesn't take any of the psychological evaluation tests seriously, faking a sexual interest in horses during his session with Anya.
  • He forgets that Mouthwash can't be used as a disinfectant due to it having too much sugar while trying to help Daisuke, and only makes the boy's pain worse.
  • He is delusional and unable to accept responsibility for any of his actions.
  • Putting Curly in the cryo-pod wasn't well thought, since it is unlikely Curly is found and even if he is, the physical and psychological treatment is too expensive, if doable at all, and he would be held liable for the Tulpar crash.
