Junior is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Bunny) of the 1986 war film Platoon. He is a rogue and disloyal US Army soldier serving under Sergeant Robert "Bob" Barnes.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Junior shows himself to be a complete coward willing to abandon even his own allies to save his own skin. He shows no display of bravery at all, constantly attempting to blame others in his own platoon for his own faults and slip-ups.
- As with Bunny, he is likewise a sordid deviant pedophile.
- He altogether does not have any redeeming qualities of any sort, being no more than a backstabbing and cowardly flunky.
- He is shown to be hateful and racially prejudiced towards the other members of the platoon, constantly provoking them with his remarks.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- Out of every member of his platoon, Junior is shown to be particularly unintelligent, as he frequently causes issues in plans due to his laziness and ineptitude.
- As a result of him failing to stay awake for his post on watch duty, some other members of the platoon got killed by the end of the battle.
- Junior is not particularly tricky or known to have a backup plan despite his repeated mistakes and never learns from them.
- He is shown to not at all be a clever liar, as the others (especially Barnes) see right through his attempt to blame Taylor for failing to watch their post.
- His attempt to fake jungle rot and escape the warzone by spraying mosquito repellent also didn't fool anyone for one second, as even Barnes immediately saw through and called out him for it.
