Pathetic Pinhead Wiki

The diplomats from Snezhnaya promised a very generous reward indeed... and all they requested of me in return was to see that the Vision Hunt Decree is upheld. For too long, the Kujou Clan's position has been coveted by so many. There is no shortage of clans who would tear us down at the first opportunity. So, when the chance arose to gain the backing of another powerful nation and crack down on our enemies at the same time, It appeared to me to be an excellent deal. I simply saw no need to inform you, Sara.
~ Kujou Takayuki admitting to his dealings with the Fatui

Kujou Takayuki is a major antagonist in the 2020 role-playing game Genshin Impact, serving as the main antagonist of the Inazuma Archon Quests, He is the corrupt Tenryou Commissioner of the Shogunate and the head of the Kujou Clan until the end of Omnipresence Over Mortals who conspired with the Fatui to take over Inazuma and create a market for Delusions.

He was voiced by June Yoon in the English version.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • Abused Kujou Sara and holds an extremely twisted degree of favoritism towards her, even calling out two soldiers who were having fun with her for "pointless fratenizing."
  • Created the Vision Hunt Decree while manipulating the Shogun puppet into doing so, causing the death of thousands due to the decree.
  • According to some lost notes at Higi Village, dumped dozens of Tatarigami-infected villagers into the ocean while framing the Watatsumi army for it, and threatened to kill his subordinates if they don't report to him back.
  • Conspired with the Fatui to create a black market of Delusions using the Vision Hunt Decree to monopolize the supply chain, and extorted the inhabitants using Crystal Marrow to play on both sides of the Watatsumi-Shogunate war.
  • Upon having his plans all foiled by the Traveler and Ayato, has the Takatsukasa clan kill all his remaining heirs to ensure that he stays in power again.
  • Had Takatuskasa Isamu poisoned and framed detective Ryuji for it to prevent him for going against his orders.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • While enacting the Vision Hunt Decree to encourage people to use Delusions, installing his position as a dangerous threat, it also led to the deaths of thousands not due to delusions from to said decree thanks to the Shogun puppet's unchangingly programmed approach towards eternity leading to oppression and tyranny, which eventually led to political instability in Inazuma.
  • His involvement of the Raiden Shogun to help him enact the Vision Hunt Decree was mainly done with his feigning of innocence to manipulate the Shogun puppet to follow him utilizing the fact that it is just a robot who does anything it is told to. While this may seem smart on paper helped by Ei's willingness to accept anything as long as it does not go against her "eternity", it was easily foiled thanks to Ayato managing to recover a letter Kujou Takayuki sent to the Fatui, in addition to Miko breaking into the Plane of Euthymia with her spell.
  • When Masahito informed him about Tatarigami's dangerous effects, he threatened to replace his position in power, and accused him of understating the Tatarigami's effects.
    • This would eventually bite him from behind when the Mikage Furnace suffered from a core meltdown in spite of being maintained well, releasing a dangerous concentration of Electro energy to the surrounding area.
  • While he possesses a "Villain Has a Point" moment saying that the Raiden Shogun would help him dispose of all the Fatui if they don't fall in line, it was to ensure that they continue to help him with his plans without betraying them, making it less of a valid one.
  • His actions also led to a plan to arrange the marriage of the heirs of the Kujou and Hiiragi clans thanks to his criminal conspiracy between Shinsuke leading to their losses of power, allowing the now-vulnerable clans to be further exposed to outside manipulation.
  • Does a poor job trying to make a fake conviction against Ryuji to frame him for poisoning Isamu after he tried to turn against him, having forced Sara to sign her convictions to cover up the truth, only to lead to a legal dispute between the Tenryou Commission and Bantan Sango Detective Agency when the latter tried to investigate the case.
  • Unlike most villains in the game, he doesn't even have any entertaining or charismatic moments, as he was consistently portrayed like a total monster, entering a massive breakdown that he doesn't recover from after his arrest, and is said to have "aged overnight."
