Lia Lowe is a major character in the Dramabox webseries, When Love Turns Toxic.
What Makes Her Pathetic?[]
- She believes that her son, Wade, having a high paying job means she is allowed to do whatever she wants.
- She is a horrible influence on her grandson. Whenever Ben does anything naughty, she praises the behavior and shuts down anybody who rightfully lectures Ben.
- She turns Ben against his own mother who understood that Lia was teaching her son bad things.
- She is ultimately the reason why Ben is so horrible as her enabling attitude made it to where Ben thinks he can do anything he wants without punishment.
- She is so bad and unsympathetic that Wade choosing to completely cut her out of his life is seen as karmic.
- Even though she starts blaming herself at the end for everything, it is not played sympathetically as she only starting blaming herself after having already completely destroying her family.
What Makes Her a Pinhead?[]
- She doesn't even try to keep Ben under control despite the trouble he gets into.
- She allowed Ben to damage objects that didn't belong to either of them including bikes and a car owned by her son's boss, Mr. Zahn.
- She permits Ben to steal a bottle of wine from Mr. Zahn's car and even shatter it.
- She tries to act like she's the victim of assault despite the fact she clearly isn't.
- Despite Wade's attempts to diffuse the situation, Lia makes it worse by constantly calling Mr. Zahn a fraud.
- Her actions ultimately ruin her family with Wade getting fired, divorced, and put in crippling debt.
