“ Summon the Atlantean Royal Guard! Seize these hostile bubble poppers! „
~ L.R.H. summoning his guards to attack SpongeBob and his friends.

Lord Royal Highness is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Plankton) of the infamous SpongeBob SquarePants episode Atlantis SquarePantis.

He is the King/Emperor of Atlantis who would try and kill the main cast after Patrick popped the bubble.

He was voiced by the late singer David Bowie.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He tries to kill the main cast after Patrick popped the oldest bubble in Atlantis despite the fact that everyone else was completely innocent since Squidward, Mr. Krabs and Sandy have absolutely NOTHING to do with the bubble and SpongeBob didn't see that Patrick took the photo so he should have been mad at Patrick, showing how petty he is.
  • He replaced the bubble that was popped with Plankton at the end saying that he's better than the "dusty old bubble" showing that he didn't care about it to begin with and just wanted to kill the main cast.
  • While he does end up becoming a little nicer to the main cast, he doesn't actually apologize for trying to kill them and even lies to their faces by saying that they can come back at anytime, when in reality he takes the amulet on the Sea Ship Atlantis that got them there and had his guard to throw it away so that people like the main cast can never tour there.
  • He no longer allows tourists even though everything was fine until Patrick popped the bubble that he didn't actually care about.
  • While he does have numerous comedic moments, they don't make him likable as they only emphasize how pathetic and stupid he is.
  • In the end he gets away with everything and gets no punishment, making him a Karma Houdini.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • He already knows that the flashlight cameras can pop bubbles since Atlanteans had flashlight cameras that ultimately popped the bubbles, but yet he didn't warn SpongeBob or Patrick about this, leading to Atlantis' most preserved treasure being popped.
  • Despite all of Atlantis' advanced technology, he has his guards equipped with middle-age weapons with nothing unique about them.
  • He showed SpongeBob and Patrick the actual world's oldest bubble after they already popped the copy, not even considering that one of them would pop that one too (which Patrick did).
  • He doesn't even know what Plankton is and just calls him "a talking speck".
  • For some reason he had his tanks shoot ice cream instead of regular ammo, making them completely useless.

Trivia[]

  • He's one of two characters from SpongeBob SquarePants to be a Pathetic Pinhead, the other being The Customer from the episode Pizza Delivery.
