Malcolm is a minor antagonist in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck, the eighth instalment of the long-running book series created by Jeff Kinney that started in 2007.
He is a petty 5-7 year old kid who tried to get Frank and Susan Heffley arrested just because they didn't have any ketchup, and is commonly seen playing reckless games with his twin Malvin.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- He gets Malvin injured during his reckless concrete throwing game with him.
- He harasses Greg by taking a photo of him while he was in the shower (with the help of Malvin).
- He reports Frank and Susan to the police (and most likely intended to get them arrested) just because they ran out of ketchup, which shows how extremely petty he is.
- His young age doesn't absolve him of his actions, as Manny, who is roughly the same age, is shown to actually be really smart.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- He seemingly has no idea of what an actual game is, as he plays reckless games with Malvin (such as tossing chunks of concrete) and doesn't care how stupid they are as games.
- He doesn't care about how many pet rabbits he has, as it's shown that he has far too many of them.
- He doesn't even know what a crime is, as he reported Frank and Susan to the police because they didn't have any ketchup.
