Monotaro (モノタロウ) is one of the mascot characters and antagonists featured in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, appearing as part of a group called the Monokuma Kubs. With his siblings: Monodam, Monosuke, Monokid, and Monophanie they control the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles alongside Monokuma.
He was voiced by Koichi Yamadera in the original Japanese and Sean Chiplock in the English version.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- He aided Monokuma in hosting the killing game, which resulted in the deaths of 13 teenagers.
- He had an incestous relationship with his sister.
- He refused to get along with the students, unlike Monodam suggested.
- While comedic, most of his comedy relies on how stupid he is and basically mocks him.
- Although he did have some affable moments, it was rather minor.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- He is by far one of the stupidest characters in the entire franchise:
- He was clearly unaware that Monophanie was his sister and even mistook her for a random pig, despite her being blatantly a bear.
- He thought Miu Iruma was his mother and K1-B0 was his father when it’s clearly obvious that they are not.
- He was stupid enough to forget about what side he’s on.
- He pathetically begged for mercy when Monokuma threatened to kill him and his siblings if they don’t successfully defend Tsumugi Shirogane and prove her “innocent”. In fact, he failed to make a proper objection.
