Pathetic Pinhead Wiki

This character has been approved as a Silly Pathetic Pinhead, meaning they fit the criteria despite being consistently played for laughs.

Morty Williams is a minor antagonist in the animated series; Phineas and Ferb, specifically as the secondary antagonist of the Season 1 Episode “Phineas and Ferb Get Busted”.

He is a local presenter in Danville whom does The Morty Williams Show, who quickly becomes interested in The Smile Away Reformatory School, believing that he could somehow make a financial breakthrough from reporting on it.

He is voiced by Geraldo Rivera.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • Wishing to make a profit after being apparently being approached by The Smile Away Reformatory Sergeant, he wilfully films and gets a lot of footage of many children (in particular Phineas and Ferb) being physically and psychologically abused by The Sergeant, until they had a complete breakdown and become essentially robotic shells of their former selves. Additionally, Morty takes genuine pleasure in watching kids being horribly mistreated, as he refers to all the children as “brats” with a smirk on his face, while also indirectly stating he absolutely doesn’t care what he has to do/film as long as he thinks he’ll financially profit from it.
  • When outside his camper, he once again expresses how the children (whom he calls “zombified brats”) will apparently make him a very wealthy man through filming their suffering, only to be suddenly and well deservingly attacked by multiple security guards and guard dogs.
  • Overall, he’s a callous, greedy, arrogant, delusional and sadistic man, who absolutely doesn’t care what he needs to do, if he thinks he’ll somehow profit from filming children be abused. Additionally, while his screen time is fairly low, he still has enough characterisation to show the audience what a greedy and cruel scumbag he truly is, as well as to show how far a person will go if they think they’ll get some sort of financial benefit from doing truly vile things (even though in this case he never did and never would have become financially successful).
  • While the Episode does take place in an alternate continuity to the majority of the actual show’s main story, the impact of Morty’s actions in said continuity is still taken seriously by the narrative,

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • Despite his belief that he’d somehow profit from it, it was still an utterly idiotic move on his part, to wilfully film and put on live television, footage of children literally being tortured and abused in utterly horrific ways, while thinking he’d profit from it, as well as make him famous. This is further stupid, given that he was both already famous due to The Morty Williams Show and the fact that absolutely nobody in their right minds would even consider letting him financially profit off of children being abused for no good reason on camera. Plus, we’re given absolutely no evidence that he became financially successful as a result of what he did (especially as he states “Those zombified brats are gonna make me one rich…”) which also indirectly confirms he didn’t actually make a profit from what he did and that he truly is just a delusional fool.
  • While it was partially due to shock and being idiotically mistaken for an intruder, he still didn’t do anything to both try and clear his name, nor make a dash for it when getting attacked by multiple security guards and guard dogs.

Trivia[]

  • He is one of the two Phineas and Ferb villains to count as a Pathetic Pinhead, alongside the Smile Away Reformatory Sergeant, meaning the series has no examples (as of the moment) that exist in the world the show takes place in, as the two villains are only part of a dream.
