| ~ Mr. Coleman taunting Robert. |
Mr. Coleman is the main antagonist of video: "Grandpa Disciplines Grandson By Locking Him In the Shed. Happy Ending" from YouTube channel: SoulSnack. He is the maternal grandfather of Robert and his arch-nemesis, as well as the father of the latter's late mother who died before the events of the video. He is a rude, petty, inconsiderate and wrathful man who is shown to treat his grandson like dirt.
He is portrayed by Mark Kroczynski.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- He is first introduced getting angry at Robert for forgetting to wash the dishes after he ate lunch. When he bursts into the latter's bedroom, he sees Robert playing video games and asks him if all the chores, only for Robert to realise that he accidentally forgot to do the dishes. Mr. Coleman mocks him for making the mistake and forces him to go do it by yelling at him with intimidating intent.
- When Robert comes home from school, he complains about his electric bill not looking very good, before accusing his grandson of leaving the TV on all night.
- Instead of being proud of Robert for getting good grades, he says that it's good but not good enough, much to Robert's devastation, and adds that he will make a man out of him by moulding him into a perfect person on High Honors Roll, which is an overreaction. To make matters worse, he straight-up bans Robert from his hobbies by taking away his TV and video game privileges more frequently without caring what his grandson wants.
- When Robert goes on his phone to defy his grandfather's unreasonably high expectations, Mr. Coleman gets grumpy and orders him to set the table for dinner.
- He refuses to make green tea for Robert even when the latter politely asked for it and makes him unwillingly choose between water and milk.
- He serves Robert pot roast, even though the latter can't eat red meat due to being allergic to said food. However, he refuses to care and repeatedly tries to force him to eat it despite knowing he could easily get sick.
- During an argument with Robert, he sadistically taunts him about how he is the only relative he can live with while guilt-tripping him over his mother's death and his father leaving him, causing Robert to snap and say that his home life isn't fair. This enrages Mr. Coleman into taking his grandson out of the house and shoving him into the shed, before locking him in and leaving him there for a whole night.
- When he notices Captain James Porter in his home trying to rescue Robert, he threatens him with a gun, only for the police captain to not buy it and rescue his grandson by breaking the door open to free him from his unlawful imprisonment.
- Even when arrested by James for abusing his grandson for a long time, he rants about how his cousin is a lawyer who will save him from jail time.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- He is implied to not be very good with money, as he wastes electricity in his household yet still had the nerve to accuse Robert of leaving his TV on all night as the sole piece of evidence, showing that he doesn't do the best job at taking care of himself.
- His plan to get Robert on High Honors Roll is laughably ridiculous, as even if he did somehow manage to turn him into a perfect human being, it most certainly wouldn't last or go well as Robert would still have flaws just like everyone else and he would eventually grow up to be his own person rather than his grandfather's spitting image.
- He tries to feed Robert pot roast, a meal that contains meat, even though he knows the latter is allergic to red meat and would get sick if he were to take just one bite out of it.
- He imprisons Robert in the shed without bothering to check his pockets to see if he had any needless things on him, causing Robert to be able to keep his phone and use it to call for help, which is exactly what happens. To make this even more stupid, Mr. Coleman had already been limiting his grandson's screentime and even took his game console, TV and phone away from him during the week, so the fact that he forgot to confiscate Robert's phone before locking him in the shed is what led to his downfall.
- He seriously thought he could threaten to kill Captain James Porter by shooting him, which only further contributed to his deserved defeat. Even then, he attempted to deny his crimes as he was being taken to jail for his crimes, saying that because his cousin is a lawyer, he won't have to go to jail, something that James does not buy.
