Get the hell out of here...go on, beat it, you lousy no-good brats...come back when your f-cking mother comes home from work!
~ Mr. Sheppard's drunken rant toward his sons

Mr. Sheppard is the overaching antagonist of the 2010 thriller video game Heavy Rain. He was the alcoholic husband of Ann Sheppard and abusive father of John and Scott Sheppard, whose fatal negligence resulted in a key event that influenced Scott to become the origami killer, subsequently including the kidnapping of Shaun Mars, setting the game's events in motion.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He constanlys abuses his sons, never taking care of them and sometimes beating them in a drunken fist of fury.
  • He leaves John to drown to death into a canal, refusing to help Scott save him by pushing him away when the latter was begging for help.
  • His terribles actions lead to Scott becoming the Origami Killer, making his father responsible for everything that's happened in the game.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • He's an obviously terrible father, constantly drinking and abusing his sons whenever he has the chance and never taking care of them. His carelessness would lead to John's death.
  • He refuses to help Scott and lets out a drunken gibberish, claiming he'd had less kids to take care of. Because of John's death, Scott is given to a foster home instead, showing letting him die was as cruel as it was stupid.

Trivia[]

  • He's one of the two Heavy Rain characters to be PP alongside Carter Blake.
