| ~ Reverse Flash explains his quite pathetic backstory.

Eobard Thawne, better known as the Reverse Flash, is a supporting antagonist in Injustice 2. Like in many other versions of the character he is a sadistic speedster who murdered Barry Allen's mother and proceeded to torment him for the rest of his life. In Injustice 2 he became a member of Gorilla Grodd's society in vengeance because Superman’s Regime killed one of his ancestors and that’s why he’s trapped in the past.
He is voiced by Liam O'Brien.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Like in pretty much every version of this character, he decided to ruin Barry Allen's life for no true reason at all.
- He killed Barry's mother.
- While this happened offscreen, he taunts Barry in one of their opening scenes of a fight.
- He even taunts him, that he's every bad day Barry ever had, meaning he sadistically enjoys tormenting him.
- He decided to join Gorilla Grodd's society out of vengeance that he cannot go to home again, because the regime killed one of his ancestors. The society seemingly planned to conquer the world.
- He fights very cowardly. Just attacking out of nowhere with his speed and quickly run in a spot where he cannot be attacked.
- He still targets mostly the Flash out of all characters although he even redeemed himself and helped against the regime. So, his backstory is made invalid and he's completely irredeemable and receives no sympathy.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- Unlike other versions of the Reverse-Flash, he seems to forget that he's a speedster.
- His argument that he cannot go back to the future where he belongs because his ancestor died in hands of the regime doesn't make sense, as normally he could easily go back in time to save his ancestor because time traveling itself is no problem, as he demonstrates himself in his super move.
- His forgetfulness reaches his heights where he cannot dodge an ice ray from Captain Cold while normally, he could dodge easily much faster bullets. That's why his partner Captain Cold had to fight 1vs1 against Wonder Woman.
- Also, he stayed much too long in the ice. Other characters only need a few seconds before freeing themself while Reverse-Flash stays frozen until Captain Cold was defeated.
- Thawne never achieved anything. He was defeated by Flash and by Wonder Woman and never got revenge in any way.
- After they learned that Grodd lied and that he worked for Brainiac to destroy the earth rather than conquer it, the whole society simply disappears and doesn't help to beat Brainiac. While it is pathetic, it's also completely stupid because if the heroes don't defeat Brainiac, the earth will destroyed with all the society too.

- Currently, he's the only Injustice character to be a Pathetic Pinhead.
- He is the only version of Eobard Thawne to be a PP as the rest of his versions are too intelligent have too much of an evil is cool vibe or in most cases both.
