Frog! People don't wanna hear from you anymore. You've shown how toxic you truly are. You're done! You've been replaced! And here's the contract to prove it!
~ Rex having a villainous breakdown during Mr. Frog's apology also his last words before being eaten by Mr. Frog

Rex is the main antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode Mr. Frog. He was the former producer of The Mr. Frog Show who tried to replaced Mr. Frog after he had a "toxic" outburst.

He is voiced by the show's co-creator, Michael Cusack, who voiced lots of other characters from the show.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • Unlike most Smiling Friends antagonists, he is never giving redeeming or evil Is cool moments.
  • After he kicked out Mr. Frog from his owned show, he is seen rejecting different candidates and was gonna do the same to Glep before he was able to preform and only hired him after he spit at him.
    • Speaking of which he told Glep after he hired him that they where gonna make a lot of money meaning that he only fired Mr. Frog because of greed rather then disgust.
  • During the production of the new episode when Glep shows signs of "toxicity" and spits he yelled at him saying it was "frogish" and slapped him across face with the script and even told him to try again despite being the reason why he hired him.
    • It is also implied that he did this to Mr. Frog as well.
  • After Mr. Frog bursts in to apologize on camera he yells at him telling him that people don't want to hear from him anymore and that he's been replaced showing the contract to prove it.
  • While he claims to hate toxic people it is hypocritical due to his abusive actions towards Glep and his yelling at Mr. Frog during his apology. Especially given the sincerity of such, he is also proven to be quite spiteful, petty, and unforgiving in nature.
  • His death while brutal was not played for sympathy and instead was played for comedic karma.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • He tries to replace Mr. Frog on his own show, despite him being the reason why it was popular.
  • He told Glep to not spit during production of the new episode even though not only did the other people working on it working like it but he literally hired him because of it.
  • He acts surprise when the audience hates the new episode even though due to thinking that they would laugh at anything even though it had none of the humor the other episodes before it had due to his incompetence and behavior.
  • He approached Mr. Frog to tell him he was kicked out of the show, not realizing that this was especially stupid due to knowing about Mr. Frog's constant consumption of a drug known to cause cannibalistic behavior, and was promptly devoured.
