Irwin Goldman, known as Scarecrow, is the main antagonist of the fanfiction The Fears Of The Past, which serves as the threequel to The Darkest Hour and Son of Red Hood.
He is a criminal who operated under the alias of Scarecrow. He's the estranged grandfather of Ellie and Gage Creed.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Desecrated the grave of his own son-in-law and stole his skull, modifying it to use as his fear toxin.
- Infected his own landlord with his own fear toxin, causing him to hallucinate multiple spiders, which is what the landlord fears the most.
- Caused a mall security guard to kill himself out of fear for his family's safety.
- Masked his trashing of the Macy's department story by saying that he, along with Harley Quinn and Green Arrow, were just "having fun" which is clearly a lie.
- Although he freed Rachel Creed from Riker's Island, he only did so for pragmatic reasons and not genuine care.
- Infected Jason Todd/Red Hood, Dinah Laurel Todd/Black Canary, and Ellie Creed/Batgirl with his fear toxin.
- To rub salt on the wound Batgirl was Scarecrow's own granddaughter, Ellie Creed, who he knew was afflicted with PTSD from her time as a zombie, but he used it to her advantage, possibly worsening the trauma.
- His death is primarily played for satisfaction because of all of his atrocities, including infecting his own granddaughter with his fear toxin.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- When he sent the letter to Jason Todd/Red Hood, Scarecrow included his address, causing Red Hood, Black Canary, and Batgirl to easily locate him.
