Norville "Shaggy" Rogers is the deuteragonist of the Scooby-Doo film Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood.
He was voiced by the late Casey Kasem.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- Unlike most versions of Shaggy, this one is a manipulative abuser who gaslights Scooby into believing he wants out of the mystery solving role and take on other roles.
- He tries to force Scooby to be somebody he isn't.
- When C.J. holds auditions for a replacement for Scooby in an attempt to convince him to come back, Shaggy deems this as the opportunity for Scooby to try other roles.
- It's made blatantly clear that his attempts to change Scooby are for his own interests rather than for Scooby's.
- When Scooby is on the Jackie Carson Show, Shaggy controls the interview by speaking for Scooby, only allowing Scooby to answer one question.
- When his attempts to get Scooby into other roles fails, he tries to pitch his own spin-off shows.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- His efforts to get Scooby to play other roles clearly don't work as Scooby is unable to properly perform them. Despite this, Shaggy doesn't stop producing them.
- He fails to read obvious signs of disdain for the roles he puts Scooby in, interpreting C.J.'s cries as praise instead.
- The ending shows he didn't learn a thing as his attempts to pitch his own spin-off shows only ends with him getting thrown out the building.
Trivia[]
- He's the only version of Shaggy to be Pathetic Pinhead, as well the only Pathetic Pinhead from Scooby-Doo franchise.
