The two unnamed drivers are the protagonist villains of the 2015 short film Ne Uporabljaj Telefona (which is Slovenian for "Don't Use Your Phone"), which urges the importance of road safety and not texting while driving.
They are a pair of friends who hang out and go out with each other from time to time, but in the short film, they talk to each other while texting and driving which ends up causing them to run over a mother who tried to stop her 6 year-old son from running out onto the road.
They were portrayed by two real-life girls, who were not named.
What Makes Them Pathetic?[]
- They casually texted and drove a car at the same time with no concern about endangering any potential pedestrians.
- About 45 seconds into the film, they run over a mother in front of her 6 year-old son while trying to prevent an accident, which also caused another car to be hit and thus costing hundred to thousands of dollars worth of damage.
- They have a number of flaws, which include (but are not limited to) the following:
- They have no charisma, likable qualities or competence.
- They are remarkably cowardly, doing what they want when everything is fine but then panicking and fearing for their lives as soon as they're in danger.
- Despite their screentime being limited, they present themselves as disgusting, unappealing and irredeemable embarrassments to society.
- While they seem shocked and even cry a bit after the collision, it's more out of fear that they'd be arrested rather than remorse for their misdeeds.
- Despite hanging out with each other, it's not known if their friendship or care for one another is genuine or not.
What Makes Them Pinheads?[]
- They know that texting and driving is wrong and were taught about it by their parents and/or school, yet they still did it anyway.
- The blonde-haired girl is significantly dumb as when she was avoiding the boy running into the road, she hit the mother with the car and ran over her (In other words, she killed an innocent woman just to prevent an accident), so the blonde-haired girl’s grand plan to save her own life turned out to be ridiculously bad in the long run.
- As a matter of fact, she could have warned her friend (who was driving) to hit the brakes rather than turning the steering wheel.
