Pathetic Pinhead Wiki

The Prince of Neksdor, also known by his default name Jace, is a supporting antagonist in the 2016 Nintendo RPG video game; Miitopia. He is (as his title implies) the Prince of Neksdor, a nearby Kingdom to Greenhorne who seeks to marry Greenhorne’s Princess (default name; Marianne). However, despite his high status, Jace proves himself to be a complete selfish, cowardly, traitorous and morally bankrupt individual who will do anything to save his own skin or abandon someone if it benefits his goals and ambitions.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • After being attacked by a monster, Jace cowardly ran off and left his servants to fight it off, which very likely resulted in their deaths considering these specific servants themselves don’t appear in person as well as Jace himself mentioning he’d been left waiting (after he abandoned them) for some time. He also made a pathetic claim that he fought off the monster which from his present behaviour, very much wasn’t the case.
  • When he first meets the protagonist and his/her 3 other friends, he rudely insults them and demands them to take him to Greenhorne to see the Marianne, in which he then proceeds to tell his pathetic tale about how he and his servants were attacked, and making himself look heroic.
  • When the group is attacked by a Griffin shortly after, instead of helping the 4 fight it off, Jace just stands there doing nothing as he insults the Griffin and his 4 protectors, as well as saying “It’s time I step in” only to do absolutely nothing. What makes this even worse, is that afterwards, he takes credit for defeating the Griffin, showing both a complete lack of gratitude as well as being needlessly opportunistic and selfish.
  • When he sees Besmirched Noble’s Son; Sonny, he immediately insults him by calling him “dog” and physically assaulting him, just because he had feelings for Marianne (which in comparison to Jace, were completely genuine).
  • As soon as the Marianne’s face got stolen by The Dark Lord, Jace immediately runs off like a coward, showing absolutely zero care for his fiancée and only his own life. As King Reggie himself later says “What a pathetic specimen he turned out to be…” Because he abandoned Reggie’s daughter to save his own life.
  • He freed the Genie from The Lamp with full intent to use him for his own agenda, which ends up backfiring when the Genie plays Jace like a fiddle and easily manipulates him with “any wish you want”, with the Genie very quickly abandoning Jace in the middle of the desert to throw his tantrum. Also, while Jace did free the Genie after he claimed to have been abused by “an evil Sage”, it obviously wasn’t out of pity for his made up sob story, but his own personal gain of getting his own way with his help through being granted a wish.
  • As soon as the main protagonist finds Jace shortly after he released the Genie, Jace tries to deny any wrongdoing and gives the protagonist, The Lamp to trap the Genie in it again, while then rudely telling him/her to leave him be. Also, while he does give the protagonist The Lamp, and while it’s never said outright, it’s very likely and arguably pretty clear, that he only handed over The Lamp, because he wanted revenge on the Genie in some way but was in no position to do so, not out of a desire to right his wrongs or any momentary affability.
  • Spent the rest of the game’s main story, throwing a huge amount of self pity for himself in the desert, in which as the game’s end credits show, the Genie tries to some genuine peace with Jace, yet he completely ignores and rejects him (though some could argue it’s somewhat understandable as he did trick him beforehand, it still doesn’t excuse how pathetically petty he is or any of his actions even before being tricked by him).
  • Overall, his cowardly and selfish actions is one of the main reasons, why Jace is considered one of the vilest and most irredeemable villains in the game and for good reason, with absolutely no one feeling sympathy for his karmic suffering for everything he did (maybe apart from the Genie, but eventually that was more trying to make pentane for his own actions rather than genuine sympathy for Jace himself).

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • When he and his servants were initially attacked by a monster, after he ran away, he spent a ridiculous amount of time standing around the dangerous environment doing nothing until the protagonists eventually found him, which is a very unwise and idiotic thing to do, given his lack of combat skills as well as basic intelligence. He also has the audacity to hypocritically call his servants “pathetic”, when he was the one who abandoned them.
  • When the group fight the Griffin, Jace just stands around doing nothing. This is further shown in a “Game Over Screen” as soon as all 4 protectors are knocked to the ground, Jace simply insults them before running off like a coward to save his own life, showing he truly cannot defend himself or give a damn about the sacrifices of others.
  • When Marianne had her face snatched by The Dark Lord, Jace doesn’t do a very good job at hiding what a dirty coward he is, as he immediately runs off and crying, right in front of everyone, which completely ruined his plan to marry Marianne as well as making him look like a complete idiot.
  • He foolishly released the Genie with obvious intention to use him for his own advantage. However, the Genie’s in game bio makes it pretty clear that he was a well known criminal and trouble maker by the time The Great Sage imprisoned him, either him causing issues in Neksdor in particular once he was freed. This shows, that he has near zero common sense despite the Genie being a known criminal, and the obvious risks of freeing him from his imprisonment.

Trivia[]
