Tom's Owner is an antagonist in the Tom and Jerry franchise.
He was voiced by the late Allen Swift.
What Makes Him Pathetic?[]
- He is the worst owner Tom ever had for the following reasons:
- He constantly beats Tom when Tom does nothing bad.
- He little to never is grateful to Tom for all the good things Tom does for him.
- He never even gives Tom any care unlike other owners. At least Mommy-Two-Shoes happens to be grateful and nice to Tom and punishes him less brutal and for way more understandable reasons.
- When Tom does something bad to him (mostly unwillingly), he brutally beats Tom or even ties him up.
- He once tied up Tom after the latter nearly drowned to death in the pool.
- Unlike Spike, Clint Clobber never gives Tom a second chance.
- Despite Jerry mostly sets Tom up, even he is horrified to see how much Tom is abused by this character.
- Tom is often seen crying and is constantly seen frightened of Clint Clobber.
What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]
- He is also very stupid and inattentive.
- While it's normal to fail to realize the essence of Jerry's provocations in this cartoon (and Tom is arguably portrayed as the only character who CAN realize it at least sometimes), Clint Clobber is portrayed as a character, who doesn't even know about JERRY'S EXISTENCE, while he cannot help but realize it.
- He constantly blames Tom for anything bad what happens, while he cannot help but notice that Tom tries to catch a mouse (and thus has an understandable reason to cause chaos).
- It's at least not quite clever of him not to help Tom when Tom is in danger and instead to punish Tom.
- He somehow failed to notice that Jerry attached the hook from Tom's fishing rod to his socks.
- At the same episode, he failed to notice that Jerry made a mouse model from the shoe that was on Clint Clobber.
- He is once shown as a quite inattentive driver.
- He once failed to realize that Tom gave him a thermos instead of a gun.
