Jump. Or Toothless here gets an early trip to the dentist.
~ Troy threatening Dustin to make Mike jump off a cliff.

Anthony "Troy" Walsh is a supporting antagonist in Season 1 of Stranger Things. He is a juvenile bully at Hawkins Middle School who attempted to kill Mike and Dustin after Eleven used her powers to humiliate him in front of the whole school. Luckily, his plans were thwarted by El, who broke his arm.

He is portrayed by Peyton Wich.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

  • He regularly insults and bullies the Party with childish insults like Frogface, Toothless, and even racist insults such as calling Lucas "Midnight".
  • He lies to the police and uses his mom to incriminate Eleven for hurting him, leaving out the part where he attacked Mike and Dustin with a knife.
  • He makes fun of Will at his funeral for being a "f*g", then taunts and tries to beat Mike for calling out his behaviour.
  • Unlike bullies like Angela, he isn't even popular or manipulative and comes off as a whiny brat, with hints he's not popular in school as he gets teased by other kids.
  • He has no sympathetic qualities that justify his actions.
    • There is a Stranger Things comic titled "The Bully", in which Troy Walsh is given a more sympathetic background with an abusive father, and where he apologizes to James for his actions. However, the canonicity of this comic is not confirmed, and therefore can not be used at this time to exonerate Troy of his Pathetic Pinhead status. If the comic is confirmed to be canon later on, his status may change.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

  • He is extremely immature, often making crude jokes and not acting his age.
  • He thought running up to Mike and Dustin with a knife and either stabbing Dustin or having Mike jump to his death out of revenge for making him piss his pants was a good idea, but didn't even come up with a plan to cover it up.
    • Even his friend James thought Troy's plan was a bad idea.
