It has come to my attention that we are now allowed to create two proposals a week, so I am going to post my next candidate today: Bruno from The Dark Knight Returns.
What’s the Work?[]
Bruno originates from Frank Miller’s controversial Batman comic series All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder, and also appears in the film Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
Who’s the Candidate?[]
Burno is a minor antagonist in all the works she appears in. She is a blonde Neo-Nazi with swastikas tattooed on her breasts and glutes. During her brief appearances, she is helping her gang rob a liquor store owner, when suddenly an old woman from the back reveals she is still in the store. As Bruno’s gang laughs and chooses to just kill her to avoid a witness, the old lady is revealed to be Batman wearing a disguise, and he then proceeds to fight and beat all the Neo-Nazis. Although she gets away initially, Bruno is defeated after Superman shows up while she and Batman are fighting in the sewer system and restrains her using pipes.
What Makes Her Pathetic?[]
- She works for the Joker and is an eager advocate for all his sadistic actions.
- She helps the Joker destroy the corpse of Donna Gugina, an attorney he killed while having sex with.
- She is an active Neo-Nazi who uses violence to spread her racist beliefs.
- She’s unable to land a single shot on Batman even though he’s wearing a literal fat suit (as part of his civilian disguise) while fighting her.
- It’s also revealed that Batman wasn’t even wearing his Bat-armour under the old woman fat suit, so she really has no excuse here. Obviously she wouldn’t be able to beat him in a fight regardless of the conditions, but she didn’t even manage to shoot him once.
What Makes Her a Pinhead?[]
- Her “costume” is extremely dumb, as it provides no armour whatsoever for her, and considering that she uses automatic rifles as her main weapon, she doesn’t account for the fact that bullet casings, which are scorching after being ejected, could easily hit her skin and burn her.
- She throws grenades around in an old, rotting house, causing it to collapse on itself while she and Batman are still in it.
- She tried to kill Superman of all people with her regular rifle.
Final Verdict?[]
Yes. Her costume does nothing to protect her, and she’s a pathetic character overall. Very easy yes.
