This is THE character in Avatar I came closest to hating.

Hello everyone, today I'm proposing my first ATLA candidate, I honestly wish Avatar had no PP candidates because it is such a perfect show, and he was actually in that one poll so let’s get to it!

What's the Work?

I think we all know and love Avatar: The Last Airbender but to refresh Avatar: The Last Airbender is probably Nickelodeon's most Amazing show ever it's about a twelve year old kid named Aang who's also the Avatar who has to stop the hundred year war and defeat Fire Lord Ozai.

Who's the Villain?

Poon is a minor antagonist in the series serving as a supporting antagonist in the episodes "Sokka's Master" and "The Day of Black Sun".

What Makes Him Pathetic?

He's extremely pathetic.

  • He's a rude prison guard who constantly bullies Iroh thinking he's a disgusting old man when he can easily take him down.
  • He made fun of Iroh by saying "Careful Ming, don't get too close his stench will knock you right out!" and then laughed about it.
  • He may respect Iroh near the end of the Black Sun episode but it's minor and he probably got fired from his job when Zuko became Fire Lord.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?

  • He falls for Iroh's facade of being a disgusting old man just because he looks down on him because he's a "traitor" to the Fire Nation which shows he underestimated him.
  • He fell for Iroh's trick of clapping when it was clearly him working out.
  • He assumed Iroh would be stinky just because he's a prisoner.
  • He eventually got knocked out by Iroh offscreen and he presumably got fired by Zuko when he became Fire Lord

Potential Concerns?

None unless you consider his stupidity limited.

Final Verdict?

A weak yes but what do you think?
