Here's one I have thought about including for a long time. Let's get this one going.
What's the work?[]
The Firestarter: Flickering Fire is a fanfiction on the website Wattpad. In it, having escaped from The Shop, John Rainbird had adopted Charlie McGee after what had transpired. But when a new threat with ties to Charlie is after both her and John, she needs to figure out how to control her powers once more.
Who is he? What has he done?[]
Irv Manders, later known as Red Death, is the main antagonist of the fanfiction.
Irv was administered an unconventional treatment for his bullet injury, which granted him the connection to the Negative Speed Force, where he christened himself Red Death. He is the arch-enemy of both Charlie McGee and John Rainbird.
Irv Manders was given an unconventional treatment for his bullet wound, giving him his connection to the Negative Speed Force. He got the update that Charlie was adopted by John Rainbird, and after running back to his house, he constructed his armor out of titanium. After that, Red Death murdered the ones who bullied Charlie while running. When he found the abandoned Central Battery building, Red Death made it into his lair after stealing furniture and an antenna, and the next thing he stole were random weapons to sell that he had stolen from various weapons stores.
Red Death is shown in a meeting with other criminals as David Willinton and Mark Kayson while bringing him the money from the weapons that were sold after they were stolen. After being asked what must be done with the money, Red Death says the money needs to be used to buy tommyguns. After the super-powered beings are killed, Red Death walks into the room with a foreboding stare. When one of the criminals got curious as to why Red Death wanted the super-powered beings killed, he reminded one of his henchmen of John Rainbird snubbing him of his chance to adopt Charlie, and ended up killing Mark. Red Death then ordered David and the other teams to collect the blood of the super-powered beings.
After Red Death's henchmen brought the blood of the super-powered beings in the canister, he was proud that he now had the fuel for his machine, then ran off to a junkyard, and stole the metal from various cars he needed for his machine. Then, he ran with the trucks following him, and they ended up going all the way to John Rainbird's house.
After arriving at the house, the other criminals, along with David Willinton, go inside. As they are dealing with John Rainbird, Red Death goes into the house, and abducts Charlie. Following the skirmish, Red Death and his other goons leave the place. After arriving at Red Death's lair, Charlie tried to reason with him, but she ultimately realized that Irv Manders is too far gone. When Red Death and the goons arrived at Riverview Recreation Area, he wheeled his magma puller to the left side of the walking trail.
There, Charlie demanded that Red Death let her go, only for him to refuse and force her to watch John Rainbird die, and for Red Death to adopt her.
John Rainbird had arrived, and freed Charlie from her cage while Red Death was explaining his plan to her. After that, the two heroes fought Red Death, even though the fight started when Charlie acted on impulse. As the battle raged on, Red Death started a Negative Speed Force Storm, while Charlie was clinging onto her life as she was hanging over the edge of the sinkhole that was created during the fight. Charlie, having gained control of her pyrokinesis, uses one of her concussive blasts to blind Red Death via smoke. As soon as he regained his vision, Red Death saw that he was falling in magma, finally ending Red Death's reign of terror.
Is he unintelligent?[]
Yes, to some extent. He used the magma puller to bring up the magma, intent on using it to kill John Rainbird, ignoring the fact that the magma would end up killing him instead.
Is he hateable?[]
Yes. He has petty reasons for his hatred, as Red Death never moved on from the fact that John Rainbird adopted Charlie McGee.
Is he slimy?[]
Yes. While he did want to adopt Charlie McGee, he felt like in order to do so, he must kill John Rainbird, who adopted her.
Final verdict?[]
Yes!!!!! But, I'd like to hear what you think.
