This one is something I have thought about for a while. Let's start since I've finally gotten around to it.
What's the work?[]
The Revival is a fanfiction on the website Wattpad. In it, Max Dennison has accepted Salem as his home, but still misses his old home. As he is helping his adoptive sister, a resurrected Emily Binx, adjust to the modern world, Max faces an internal battle when a symbiote bonds to him.
Who is he? What has he done?[]
Eddie Brock is the main antagonist of the fanfiction.
As a child, Eddie underwent abuse from his parents and grandmother, shaping him into the devious and dishonest person that he is. It is unknown what happened to his abusers, but it's possible that they were arrested for how they treated him.
After Eddie went to work, he had gotten to his office, where he labeled Max Dennison as a psychopath on the newspaper headline, and was eating popcorn as the deliveries were made. This in turn caused the public to turn against Max.
Having finished his work for the day, Eddie arrived at Salem Hospital, intent on locating Jay and Ernie. Eddie then went on to the hospital room where Jay and Ernie were, and told them about his plan to get Max sent to juvie in exchange for the both of them to steal more things from Max. The two bullies accept, and they go along with Eddie's plan.
1 week later, as soon as Max and Allison bring Eddie's secret to light, he was about to go into his office, until he was called into the office of his boss, Mark Pakintin, who fires Eddie for printing out a lie about Max, and is forced to print a retraction. Eddie then went on a walk, and smiled at hearing Max's cries of pain as he struggles to get the Venom symbiote off of him. As the symbiote attached itself to him, where Eddie screamed in agony until going down to one knee, where he showed an evil grin, all the while Venom began to take over him. After that, Venom let out a loud roar.
Another week passes, and Brock, now reborn as Venom, locates Jay and Ernie, and tells them of his idea to lure Max over to them so that Jay and Ernie can steal the shoes from Max. After Eddie flips the half-dollar coin that he got before starting the job he had lost, it marks tails in favor of Dani being the one kidnapped. After Venom steals a bus, where Jay and Ernie get going to abduct Dani.
After barging into the Dennison household along with Jay and Ernie, Venom seized Jay and Ernie's antics as a distraction to get into Dani's room and abducts her. Before leaving, Venom breaks Dave and Jenny Dennison's backs. Venom, Jay, and Ernie left for the old cottage that was in the graveyard.
After arriving at the old cottage, Eddie, holding a bottle of cyanide, attempts to force Dani to drink it in an attempt for Max to watch his sister die, where after that, Eddie kills Max. Jay and Ernie, despite having bullied Max, back out due to not wanting to be a part of Eddie's plan if it involves Max's death. Just before Dani could ingest the cyanide, Riot bursts into the cottage, where after Venom takes on his alternate form, he and Riot fight in the graveyard.
After both symbiotes detach from their hosts due to noises coming from Allison's car radio, Eddie grabs a piece of the fence from the fight, and uses it to impale Max in his left leg. However, Riot saved Max's life, and after whacking Venom with the broken piece of the fence, Allison drums on the part of that fence that is still intact, resulting in Venom detaching from Eddie as Riot is irritated, but the symbiote manages to get ahold of a propane tank as it retreats back into Max. Eddie, desperate to reunite with the symbiote, lunges at it at the same time Max tosses the propane tank. After it hits the ground, the propane tank explodes, killing both Eddie and Venom.
Eddie's corpse is found by Max to be in the same space Emily was once buried in.
Is he hateable?[]
Yes in every sense of the word. After hearing of what happened with Max Dennison at his school, Eddie makes a false headline about Max Dennison, causing him to be labeled as a psychopath on the newspaper headline, and was eating popcorn as the deliveries were made. This in turn caused the public to turn against Max. When he is found out, Eddie tries to justify what he had done, but was fired for his dishonesty. He later kidnapped and tried to kill Dani using cyanide. He made his intentions clear that after Dani's death, he'll kill Max, which causes Jay and Ice to turn on him. While Eddie did have a bad childhood, it isn't played for sympathy
Is he unintelligent?[]
Yes. After he made his lie, his plan was found by Max and Dani, where Eddie was promptly reported and fired for this act. When Eddie revealed his plan to kill Max after killing Dani, Jay and Ice turned against him, as mentioned above.
Is he cowardly?[]
Yes! He begged for Max Dennison to not toss the propane tank, intent on trying to get him to spare his life, but this falls on deaf ears as Max refuses to listen.
Final verdict?[]
A yes is what this guy deserves. But I'd like to hear what you all think.
