Lacey's Uncle Pigs

These pigs are representations of the Uncle's disgusting personality while the flowers represent Lacey.

Possible last proposal here after retirement. Warning as this has mentions of child rape. Thanks to my good friend ACisNet999 for giving me permission to copy from his PE proposal. I’ve seen the videos myself so can verify what I have is true. I’m not totally sure on this given his enigmatic character and all but think he is at least worth a discussion.

What is the work?[]

Lacey Games is a YouTube web series documenting a series of flash games about Lacey, a seemingly innocent girl who you're supposed to help in her adventures. However, the games are revealed to have some deeply unsettling secrets behind them. Most of these revolve around the horrific events that happen to Lacey herself. The series holds elements of Surreal and Psychological Horror.

Who is he?[]

Lacey's unnamed uncle is the main antagonist of the series who has severely abused his neice throughout her childhood. This abuse is a major reason why Lacey herself is so warped and psychotic in the present.

Not much is known about the uncle but based on the messages shown from the grotesque ingredients in Lacey's Diner, it becomes clear that he constantly r-ped Lacey throughout her childhood and that he used her as an ashtray for his cigarettes. It's also implied that in Lacey's Petshop, he often put Lacey in a cage to the point where she felt comforted by it due to how normal it was. One day, the uncle killed Lacey's precious dog, Puddles, and when Lacey asks where the dog was, he laughs maniacally. After Lacey realizes that the uncle killed her dog, she justly kills him and puts his body under the bed. She later uses him as one of the ingredients in her toxic food that she serves to the customers in the alternate ending of Lacey's Diner.

What Makes Him Pathetic?[]

Do I actually need to explain this? He’s a pedophile who repeatedly abused and raped his neice, then killed her dog and only friend for no reason which he sadistically laughed about. It is also implied he is a massive coward as he is afraid of getting in trouble for his sins and he "squealed like a pig" when he died. Despite not having a clear personality or any dialogue it’s clear enough what kind of person this guy is. He’s definitely a Hate Sink with absolutely nothing close to a sympathetic or likable trait. Enough said.

What Makes Him a Pinhead?[]

Okay so this is the more debatable part… as we don’t really know him very well. That said there are few things that paint us a picture and show he isn’t exactly the smartest abuser…

  • Overall, he doesn’t really do the best job at taking care of himself since he regularly does drugs and leaves his house messy. We also see a real life paper description of drugs he uses.
  • He leaves evidence of child porn and condoms around his house, not even bothering to keep it hidden. Considering how it is mentioned he wants to cover up his crimes this is arguably very stupid because if someone came to his house he would be exposed for who he is. Also if we assume the Pig Hallucinations mean he had guests over that could indicate he had guests over.
  • He gives Lacey obvious injuries like burning her skin despite the fact it’s mentioned that he wanted to avoid getting caught for his sins. While he did keep Lacey in a cage, there are also hints he actually let Lacey go out in public, making it surprising he didn’t get caught sooner. Nothing implies he had any other way of covering this up.
  • He killed Lacey's dog for absolutely no reason. By doing this he would either have to leave it’s rotting corpse to stink up his house or risk getting caught burying it somewhere else. We are never told of any plans he had to dispose of the dog since he died beforehand.
  • Killing Lacey’s Dog didn’t do him any favors because it made Lacey brutally murder him out of revenge. Now granted we can still assume that Lacey is a defenseless child in his point of view but the fact he didn’t lock her up (despite the fact he regularly locks Lacey in a cage, he for some reason didn’t do that at this particular time) and "turned his back to her" and allowed her to brutally murder him.

So while overall not the dumbest character, he doesn’t really have any smart feats and creates incriminating evidence against himself and caused his death with his own petty actions.

Potential Concerns?[]

The only real concern would be that his personality is too vague and his PE proposal is most likely about to be rejected for not enough chracterization. However even if he is an enigmatic character, the story still makes it clear what kind of guy he is through various context clues. And absolutely nothing indicates he had any likable or intelligent factors. He is characterized as an animalistic pig by Lacey's imagination.

While yes the Uncle was able to get away with his actions for many years. Nothing implies smarts or competence on his behalf. We are never told about any attempts he makes to cover up his crimes or given indications he knew how to get away with it. It’s especially made clear he was afraid of getting caught at some point. We also need to remember he locked up a defenseless child which doesn’t require competence overall.

You could argue that the evidence we find in the house is fridge horror since it is a nightmare version of the real house but we see brief glimpses of the outside of the real house that indicate they are the same structure. And every once in a while the tone shifts to a more realistic setting while exploring the house so it is most likely that everything we see there is in place. Even if we assume the child porn stuff is fridge logic (or fridge illogic?) there’s still evidence he did drugs and got himself killed by Lacey for his own sadistic action.

Also while the series is still ongoing the uncle is long dead and it’s safe to say he will never be anything other than a sick pedo.

Verdict[]

Unsure on this one but maybe a weak yes, up to you tho.
