Livy The Rookie Proposal Photo

Livy being ignorant towards Bradford.

Wasn’t expecting this to be my next proposal, but after seeing the most recent episode of The Rookie, this had to be done. Meet Livy, the LAPD Intern from The Rookie.

What’s the Work?[]

The Rookie is an ongoing American drama series following the titular police rookie John Nolan and the rest of the LAPD. As the show continues, Nolan goes from being a rookie to teaching rookies, but still has things to learn himself even as a training officer.

Who is She?[]

Livy the LAPD Intern is a one-shot character introduced in Season 7 Episode 12, the episode April Fools. She was brought into the LAPD for the social media department to help with branding, but makes incredibly stupid posts on the official LAPD website, such as posting that today criminals can use “get out of jail free cards”, and things like that, all in the name of April Fools. Officer Tim Bradford tells her many times to stop, but she doesn’t listen and he ends up firing her due to her inability to listen.

However, Livy didn’t go quietly. Almost as if giving Bradford the middle finger, she made one final post on the LAPD account, saying that all crime would be legal for the next three hours. This causes riots all over the city to start up and everything falls to chaos. There are many casualties and injuries, along with mass amounts of destruction. Livy ends up getting caught in the middle of a riot and is held captive in a building, and calls Bradford begging him to save her, which he is forced to do. However, upon saving her, he immediately arrests her, much to her disbelief, as she claims that she didn’t know that this would happen. Bradford has no sympathy for her, considering he gave her many warnings, and now as a result of her incompetence many people are dead.

Is she Pathetic?[]

Yes, she is incredibly disrespectful towards everyone, having her feet up on the desk when she meets Bradford and brushing off his warnings to not make April Fools jokes on the official LAPD social media account. When he eventually gets tired of her ignorance and fires her, she retaliates by starting up a Purge in the city. When she’s finally arrested, she apologizes to Bradford, but it’s too little too late and likely not even genuine. Many people died because of her actions, all because of her dumb pranks. She’s definitely pathetic enough.

Is she a Pinhead?[]

She doesn’t see the problem with what she’s doing, using official law enforcement equipment to pull pranks, and won’t even let anyone delete the posts because doing it would look bad. Her inability to grasp how serious her actions are literally starts up the Purge in Los Angeles, resulting in dozens of deaths, hundreds of injuries, and millions of dollars worth of property damage. And the worst part is that she still doesn’t understand how she’s in the wrong, as she is in disbelief upon being arrested. Bradford’s lack of empathy towards her during the arrest is one hundred percent justified, as she basically set the city on fire.

Final Verdict[]

Easy yes to Livy, the incompetent, petty intern whose ignorant and negligent actions got many people hurt and even killed, all in the name of some April Fools pranks.
