I am surprised no one proposed this guy yet since he has the qualities of being one of the most pathetic characters in Overlord and Anime I seen in general here.
What's the work?[]
Overlord is a Light Novel series made by Kugane Maruyama about a player named Momoga being last of his guild and on the day of a game he on is shutdown he is sent to another world becoming his character and NPCs given free will. There he set out to explore the world and later try to take over it too.
Who is the villain, and what do they do?[]
Philip Dayton L'Eyre Montserrat is an minor antagonist in the Overlord series. He is son and third brother of a noble family and leader of the new faction of the nobles in the Re-Estate Kingdom where he would attempted to be a pawn of the Sorcerer Kingdom.
He would attempt to win power through courting and hitting on Albedo trying to win power in the Sorcerer Kingdom and during one scheme after noticing Re-Estate store their food he tried to rob a transport to the Holy Kingdom where it would trigger a war due to his stupidity and would seemly get tortured to death by Albedo for her hatred for him hitting on her.
Is the villain slimy?[]
He is very slimy as he had no remorse for his older brothers being killed by Ainz Ooal Gown during Katz Plains Massacre even thanking it did happen. While he had minor good intentions of wanting his domain prosperous his greedy and power hungry such as slimy qualities of perversion towards Albedo thinking he has an chance with her and delusion of becoming next Sorcerer Kingdom to grab power
Is the villain cowardly?[]
He didn't ran into instances need to be cowardly save for the end when he was at Albedo's mercy when he realized she wasn't gonna save him and gonna torture him without end where he ends up begging for mercy and freaking out so he is cowardly.
Is the villain unintelligent?[]
He is so stupid even the most brightest minds can't predict or manipulate him like Demiurge, Albedo, Princess Renner and Ainz Ooal Gown being stated in-universe and very delusional believing robbing an transport of the Sorcerer Kingdom would have minimum consequences underestimating them way too much while believing he done nothing wrong.
Does the villain lack charisma?[]
He only had charisma as part of his schemes and ruses so they are not legitimate such as trying to get Albedo's favor and gain power so it’s not legitimate or around his colleges but is too minor to detract.
Is the villain incompetent? If they are successful, how do they succeed in their goals?[]
Not not only his plan failed but flat-out backfired and triggered an war that had the Sorcerer Kingdom wipe out the Re-Estate while Philip drinking it out and there Albedo would show his cohorts heads and his father while she expresses her hate and seemly tortures him to death lol.
Is the villain Hatable?[]
Aside from his MINOR sympathetic quality of being favored by his older brothers, he is pretty much hatable as he is even hated in-universe by Albedo and Hilma Cygnaeus. His earlier aforementioned trait of showing zero remorse to his brothers' deaths
Verdict[]
Pretty much an easy yes as while he has minor preventions like minor sympathy and noble intentions how hatable qualities outweigh them too as he mostly perverted and power hungry trying to win Albedo over and secure power in Sorcerer Kingdom, plus his most pathetic qualify of doing an robbery on Sorcerer Kingdom transport thinking there be little consequences and being too delusional thinking he is in the wrong and once karma came back at him when Albedo killed his domain and when he begged like an coward she then prolonged his death to honor his father's wishes.
